Olives... round, green or black, tasty treats... add some cheese....

Philadelphia cream cheese in individual serving packets... mixed in with some wonderful green olive pieces.  The bigger container is full of a soft cheese also filled with pieces of green olives.   Just give me some of this stuff and some bread from the local bakery and I am happy.

Somehow, I accidentally deleted a post that I had already written and published.   I'm not quite sure how I did it... but, it is NO LONGER there and there was too much to do today... to try to re-type what I had written.

So, instead you get a photo of another good tasty item that I have found in the local Italian grocery stores.   Before my first trip to Italy in 1997, I only 'sort of' liked olives.   But, my oh my, all it took was a taste of fresh marinated olives in a salad or other Italian dish and I was hooked.  I guess it's like the difference between... a homegrown tomato and a store bought one.   One is clearly a much better item.   Same with the olives.   Local grown ones are much better than the canned variety.

But, to find these lovelies mixed in with cheese?  Sigh... pass the bread... I'm feeling a need for a snack coming on.
