Knitted scarfette anyone?
Knit 1, Purl 1, ribbed 'pidge wanna be' scarf-ette by http://iwouldratherbeknitting.blogspot.com
I made this as a Christmas gift for a friend. I made it to go with her new high-necked coat and she loved it.
Pattern: *OR here's what I did...
I used a thick yarn and probably 6.5mm needles. Cast on enough stitches to equal about 4-5 inches in width. *IF you don't have a thick yarn.. you could just knit with yarn held double instead.
Stitch pattern: k1, p1, ribbing stitch to the end and continue in pattern until it is long enough- about 26" long. Just check every so often to see if it goes around the neck and with enough length to cross the bottom of the scarfette over. *See photo to know what I'm talking about.
Sew 2 buttons on one end.. and the stitches are loose enough that you'll be able to push them through the stitches.
It is a fast knit. I watched WHITE CHRISTMAS and was almost finished.

Very pretty!
Thank you! :D
That is very pretty. I really like the colorway of the yarn. I will definitely have to make one up for myself!
Hope you had a nice Christmas and a Happy New Year. It's great to see that you're able to knit - how's your wrist doing?
Handmade knits make such special gifts. I love knitting accessories for the people I love and I know they appreciate it.
Thanks.. susanc
As I was putting my most recent photos of finished projects on ravelry.. it was eye-opening to see how much I knit for others and how little I knit for myself. So, my plan this year is.. (as soon as I get the two baby gifts finished) to knit more items for myself.
Well, it's a plan anyway. :D
Very cute, found your site through a search for scarflette patterns. I will be making this tomorrow, looks simple enough for a beginner :] Thanks!!
