Much more fun.iwouldratherbeknittinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03774700388588458937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8142790655115916667.post-52816986846717218522008-10-16T18:39:00.000+02:002008-10-16T18:39:00.000+02:00Then, hopefully my daughter will have one of those...Then, hopefully my daughter will have one of those tags, so everyone will know to give her a very wide berth! ;-Þ

She told me last night that she plans to take the bus A LOT. Fortunately for her, they are within easy walking distance of the bus stop, which she can take to the base to work each day. When she was living in Germany, she didn't have that convenience, but at least she could drive on the 'correct' side of the road there. Of course, once the icy weather hit, her car was often all OVER the road! :-o

So, how's that unpacking coming along? ;-)Rennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03628198694622790891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8142790655115916667.post-10733405388450965622008-10-16T17:13:00.000+02:002008-10-16T17:13:00.000+02:00I made it... finally...I've done the 'learn to dri...I made it... finally...

I've done the 'learn to drive on the wrong side of the road' when I lived in Japan. You take the written test over the rules and if you pass you get your license and you are now a professional driver.. (this applies to the Americans living/working there) Japanese? They get to have a special sticker on their car for a year-- to alert other drivers (myself included) that they are 'beginning drivers'...

NOT FAIR... Very difficult to suddenly learn to drive on the opposite side of the road.

I bought one of those stickers and put it on my car anyway... lasted for several months- until someone TOOK IT OFF my car! The nerve of them.. :D I thought it was awfully nice of me to WARN THEM, right?

(the car tags for the Americans working for the US Government/military overseas... were very different than the local Japanese citizens- easy to tell an American car.)iwouldratherbeknittinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03774700388588458937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8142790655115916667.post-44844158549633118992008-10-16T09:05:00.000+02:002008-10-16T09:05:00.000+02:00LOL! ;-ÞLiving in a foreign country is never dull,...LOL! ;-Þ

Living in a foreign country is never dull, I'm guessing. ;-)

My daughter is getting settled into life in England nicely, though learning to drive on the wrong side of the road is a real trip. At least she can read the road signs there!Rennahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03628198694622790891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8142790655115916667.post-12231564240521853682008-10-16T05:52:00.000+02:002008-10-16T05:52:00.000+02:00Um, uh oh!
